On August 16th, 2025 KENEC proudly hosted a vibrant community event at the Eola Community Center, Aurora, IL bringing together families, local organizations, and supporters to celebrate art, inclusion, and community impact.
The event featured a lively raffle, generously supported by our amazing sponsors: Lifetime, YMCA, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Trader Joe’s, and Buchar Family Chiropractic. Thanks to their donations, guests had the chance to win exciting prizes while supporting a meaningful cause.
One of the highlights of the day was our interactive art station, where attendees of all ages painted tote bags—unleashing their creativity while connecting with others in a fun, hands-on way.
Most importantly, the event marked the celebration of our fundraiser for the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA). With the help of our community, we proudly raised $1,800 in support of WDSRA’s mission to provide inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with special needs.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped make this day a success. Together, we are building a more inclusive and empowered community.
